The trouble is we will all have been vaccinated before he gets a tune out of our shower.

I’m certain that Super Slav won’t have the same problem. I’m sure PSG are desperately trying to persuade him to join as we speak. Why else sack Tuchel? It must have been Bilic’s availability right?

I thought this was a thread about Big Sam? Slav seems to have rattled you mate.
He'll be filed in the "Alright. Did ok in the Championship." category in the pantheon of Albion managers next to Ray Harford and Di Matteo for me and be forgotten by this time next year to be honest. Average manager but lovely guy; strangely idolised by a few Albion fans.

The truth is he did better thank ok in the Championship Clem didn’t he.

Post Feb went flat and then we had Covid.  If the season had carried on then who knows but I’m sure we would have been swapping places with Villa.

It’s a shame the bullet was filed after our best performance of the season where we did look organised.

Let’s see how the supremely arrogant Fat Sam does. He’s lucky that no fans can watch the games out the moment. If it leads to getting Lai out great, if we get an owner of similar standing God help us.

Merry Christmas one and all.

He turned down Watford last season.

Was approached to have a chat, not offered the job.

He actually accepted the job and then decided not to take it after his wife persuaded him not too. He wasn't in good health with his heart.

Second, and please don`t have a go at me, what I`m about to say comes second hand.
Basically, my Father In Law has arranged some decorating work. The bloke doing it is o.k, he did our lounge a couple of years back. Anyway, a girl who knows the decorators daughter is going out with an Albion player. The tale told to the Father In Law is that the players knew Bilic was being sacked weeks ago. Lai has been trying to sell the club and a very interested party said they would not make him an offer if Slaven was still in charge, they wanted someone who might keep us up.

Wouldn't be too outlandish for our owner to be dictated to by a prospective buyer. The choice in manager was obviously about extracting as much value as possible from a sale.

Would also validate the rumours that we went ahead and sacked Bilic in spite of grumbling from the experienced people on the board.
I don't know where these rumours came from, but it was unanimous when decision was made.

Wasn't that what was reported in the local papers, or was it on here that I read it?

Not idolised. Just managed to put a smile on a lot of faces by playing football that’s worth watching. BFS ‘might’ keep us up - and personally I seriously doubt it - but whether he does or he doesn’t, it will be attritional stuff that’s served up and I’ve had enough of that kind of dull stuff. Each to their own
Personally I'm gutted for Slav. He came and instantly was like he had been part of the furniture for years.

Shocking way to treat him aftter he worked so hard and bled the stripes while he was here.

Who's decision at the club waa this?

I guess his results since lockdown had something to do with it?

Disappointing they were but he had the worst transfer window to deal with plus the club fucking out behind his back. I would have gave him the season personally.

As has been discussed on here endlessly:

1) Most of the players Slav wanted, Slav got.
2) He knew Hegazi was going to be sold.
