Roy Hodgson was damaged goods when we took him. Megson had been shat on prior to the appointment prior to ours. Both play a certain way, both did more than OK.

I’m happy to give the lardy Dingle a chance, especially if it gets us what we need; i.e. better ownership. Avoiding relegation would be a bonus.

It may well be Christmas, but we have been guilty of naive, ‘turn the other cheek’ football for most-of since last Christmas. It was leading us to relegation with the same owners and with no Bilic for the Bilic groupies to blow. Something had to change, and (as I’ve said before) the fat turd was given the England job once upon a time. We forget that.

And to bring nicely full-circle, the guy who got that gig from us, did more than OK with us. In fact, not one of us wanted him to go.

He turned down Watford last season.

Was approached to have a chat, not offered the job.

They interviewed him in The Round of Beef in Cradley.  And rejected him after seeing the bill

Second, and please don`t have a go at me, what I`m about to say comes second hand.
Basically, my Father In Law has arranged some decorating work. The bloke doing it is o.k, he did our lounge a couple of years back. Anyway, a girl who knows the decorators daughter is going out with an Albion player. The tale told to the Father In Law is that the players knew Bilic was being sacked weeks ago. Lai has been trying to sell the club and a very interested party said they would not make him an offer if Slaven was still in charge, they wanted someone who might keep us up.

Not this one ?  https://www.albiondecorators.co.uk/

Not advertising. just came across one of their vans in the summer and googled them

Wouldn't be too outlandish for our owner to be dictated to by a prospective buyer. The choice in manager was obviously about extracting as much value as possible from a sale.

Would also validate the rumours that we went ahead and sacked Bilic in spite of grumbling from the experienced people on the board.

I’m certain that Super Slav won’t have the same problem. I’m sure PSG are desperately trying to persuade him to join as we speak. Why else sack Tuchel? It must have been Bilic’s availability right?
Expect Pereira to be sold to pay for some cloggers. Fuck that shit I''m out.

I thought this was a thread about Big Sam? Slav seems to have rattled you mate.
To be honest, I would expect Sunderland and Palace fans to have a favourable view of Allardyce. He saved both from what seemed certain relegation and didn't hang around for a follow-on season where he would have been viewed from a "standing start".

To who?
He’s hardly set the world alight, and no one is going to pay much more than what we did.

He'll be filed in the "Alright. Did ok in the Championship." category in the pantheon of Albion managers next to Ray Harford and Di Matteo for me and be forgotten by this time next year to be honest. Average manager but lovely guy; strangely idolised by a few Albion fans.
