Agree... Palace fans say much the same too.

Whether Sam is enough to make up for the holes in our squad is debatable, but we will be more organised, we will be fitter and there will be a visible plan on the field. Three things we've not been under Slav for the best part of 12 months.

Second, and please don`t have a go at me, what I`m about to say comes second hand.
Basically, my Father In Law has arranged some decorating work. The bloke doing it is o.k, he did our lounge a couple of years back. Anyway, a girl who knows the decorators daughter is going out with an Albion player. The tale told to the Father In Law is that the players knew Bilic was being sacked weeks ago. Lai has been trying to sell the club and a very interested party said they would not make him an offer if Slaven was still in charge, they wanted someone who might keep us up.

Strange that only yesterday i was talking to someone who as a few contacts at the club and he said a takeover was likely in mid Jan and they didnt want SB in charge so be interesting to see if he is right .

Knowing our luck it'll be just as the window shuts. Then in the meantime our new owners will get short arms/long pockets syndrome and we'll be back to self-sustainability before you can say 'wheres the money gone?'

Something's clearly afoot. It really does seem like a potential buyer wanted a certain manager in place.

And let's be honest, most of us knew Slav was getting sacked weeks ago too. Just a matter of when.

I really really hope that this is true... And if it's from the unimpeachable source of your decorator's daughter's friend's boyfriend...then it's highly likely! Undecided
Anyway thanks for the optimism. We all need it.
Merry Christmas!

What's evident is that those teams who go down are getting stronger in relation to the rest of the championship. We'll almost certainly win a lot of games next season. Then if we go up again probably lose a lot of games back in the Prem.

My love for Albion remains but my love for footy has wavered massively in the past four years or so
I believe the word to use on here is "This".
So
This.
Find it weird not one ambitious team wanted to hire him despite his self congratulatory appearances on Talksport trying distance himself for the Fireman Sam tag line and in the end after almost 3 years in exile he’s taken the most Fireman Sam job possible. It’s almost as if other chairman have access to statistical data that this guy is completely limited in his football approach.

Any sane manager would. Their owners make ours look good.

Was approached to have a chat, not offered the job.
