However, the stand should be rebuilt because it’s shit. The legroom is amongst the worst in the country currently. This is the point that is overlooked when people point out we currently have some empty seats. Our lot simply remove more seats every season to comply with safety and accommodate press or whoever. Fact is, it needs replacing.
Regarding paying for it. When we built the East Stand, Thompson pointed out it was on a mortgage and was money totally separate from that earmarked for players. Similar to any business, the premises (freehold in Albion's case), is a separate investment to the stock (or players).
