Whether Threads will take off and replace twitter no one knows, but Twitter is dying whatever, thank fuck.

Despite not being around that long social media has already evolved rapidly, platforms like Facebook and Twitter have a limited shelf life as people get bored of them and other platforms come along that can do things better than them (just as they replaced MySpace and Friends Reunited).

Platforms will come and go but people will always need a void to hurl their worthless (and often racist) opinions into. Can't see Threads taking off though, most of the big social media success stories and started small and grown organically. Just pushing one out en masse never works.

To be fair the inhabitants of this board would be banned from every social media outlet if they were allowed out.
