Threads (or Freds)

Anyone giving Zuckerberg's new toy a go? It will probably be a flop, but could be onto something given Musk's absolute shitshow since taking over the Twatter.

Does the world need another twats' playground?

Doesn't do Trending, Hashtags or Direct Messaging, which are clearly key features to Twatter. Unless Mr Zuckerberg intends to implement these types of user features, it will fall on it's arse.

For all it’s attention, believe Twitter only has 250m users and the vast majority of those are low frequency users with low engagement and since Musk took over it’s been losing users and becoming more and more of a toxic echo chamber

Meta has in excess of 2 billion users, and Threads allows you to integrate them all.

If they can refine their proposition, they really could kill off Twitter quite rapidly.

Twitter is a prime example of why Elon Musk is an absolute moron. Was already haemorrhaging money, struggling to stay relevant due to bots and toxicity. So he runs his big mouth, makes a stupid play, tries to back out, can't and now wasted a shot load of money.

Whether Threads will take off and replace twitter no one knows, but Twitter is dying whatever, thank fuck.

Bit of a backwards step, from global domination of virtual assemblages to copying twitter
Someone could have been killed
