“Clear daylight” is subjective though... this law isn’t. There’s nothing wrong with the offside rule, it’s probably the only thing that VAR is consistent with. The second it was replayed it was clear he was offside. Whether you agree or not is immaterial.

The same thing happened in the Fulham and Chelsea games tonight. It’s measurable and consistent.

Focus needs to be on getting other laws around decisions as clear cut as the offside, not confusing it further.

The only VAR error/frustration tonight was the inexplicable decision to not even review DCL’s deliberate scrape.
