Big Sam

FWIW I think Sam has done an OK job. Nothing more, nothing less. Certainly not enough for me to join the clamour to keep him next season.

Yes we look fitter since he arrived, but that was hardly rocket science. Any manager would have done the same.
He fixed the lack of bite and energy in midfield, something everyone watching us could see would be an issue last season, and left us all perplexed when it wasn’t addressed in the summer.
He added a striker who can hold up the ball up top... again something which was obvious in the summer.

Sam was brought in to get results, regardless of the above, this hasn’t happened. By and large he wrote off games when he first arrived, moaned continuously instead of trying to work with what he had, and sacrificed any chance of surviving before any new players arrived.

Has Sam done anything most managers coming in wouldn’t have? No, I don’t think so.
Has he done anywhere near enough for him to be in charge next year? No, he has not.
