Doesn’t really do anything for us long term; smacks of a short-term Panicbuyi.

Scored 10 goals in 18 on loan at Monaco last season.
Great, but otherwise not that prolific and no resale value& no willingness likely to drop a division.

127 goals in 326 games in his career. Non too shabby. We were linked heavily before he moved to Newcastle a few years back IIRC.
He's obviously not our preferred choice but maybe we are Trying to smoke out Huddersfield?

Season long loan deal for Slimani, and then sign Grant... no problems with that.
Slimani is a big physical presence and the ball tends to stick to him better than any of our other strikers

Slimani had a terrific season last season and I would be well up for that on loan.

And yet Monaco chose not to keep him and he's never done much in the PL.
Plus, he's 32. No thanks.
I'd prefer him to Gray, but that's saying very little. Would rather have Woodrow or Assombalonga.

I wouldn’t read into anything into Monaco not keeping him. He’s 32 with no resale value if they bought him, which is what Leicester we’re wanting Monaco to do. A year here on loan wouldn’t be a bad move.

Alan Nixon:
WEST BROM. Very keen to sign Niang from Rennes. Main argument seems to be over size of loan fee. Poss buy if stay up.
Source: Twitter (West Brom Transfer News)
As per reports Albion close with Niang, Rennes want high fee. Doesn’t affect Grant deal, always said they wanted 2. Bilić opted over Niang to high wage Deeney #WBA
