I had problems finding working apks and so reverted to Kodi which has been ok to be fair with a dozen or so reliable apps.

I've just discovered what my problem was with APK's.  The latest version of puffin browser wouldn't allow downloads and so I have unintalled the latest version and installed an earlier version and that has fixed the download problem I had.

I was the same re KODI and was surprised to see so many working apps after the app developers had appeared to have left the building

I use an android box or firestick so browser doesn’t come into it
