They must be using some very strange metrics to have Leeds in 75th, above 5 Prem teams and 40 places above us......

Brentford in 72!!!

That's a pretty amazing feat to attempt a table like that though. Nice find

Wowy. In the history of the internet has there even been a more pointless table?

From what I can tell, Leeds and Brentford are so high because the stats are based partly upon squad value at the start of the season (according to Transfermarkt website) and number of goals scored/conceded. I guess the Leeds and Brentford squads were relatively cheap in relation to number of goals scored and conceded, and especially in relation to bottom-table Prem teams. Our squad would have been comparatively more expensive, hence we are a number of places below them.
Look at how low Man Utd are also.

Whoever sits down and spends their time working out these pointless tables needs to seriously start wanking a lot more !

I'd argue that this is as good as it gets for a quantitative estimate. It's probability-based (taking into consideration how likely each team is likely to score/concede x amount of goals), it uses 20,000 monte carlo samples for each game, it's updated weekly, it takes into accont importance of each match for each team depending upon league position, etc....

You would argue back that it doesn't take into account player condition and injuries, refereeing cock ups, and all sorts of human factors. But it's impossible for quantitative measures to accurately gauge these things. This is as good as it gets (IMVHO).

I am satisfied with our relegation percentage chance.
