I was looking at this and was surprised to see that China (not the poster) and India make up 35% of the world population. I realise these are big countries in land mass but what is the % of land mass that they take up.

We've been that successful in reducing child mortality and extending the end of life group that we really are becoming the invincible. Added to that we haven't managed to obliterate ourselves with a world war for nearly 80 years then we really are growing out of all proportion. The predictions are that someone born now will live in a world that is double again by the time that they reach 80.

A pandemic might sort things out. Like the one in China where 11 million have just been quarantined!
