Form is a funny thing.

From our last 6 games, we've taken only 7 points. Which isnt great and has seen Brentford and Fulham closing up the gap.

But it isnt just us. Other teams, who were doing really well or had just been on a great run, have also struggled over the same 6 games:

Leeds 6 pts.
Bristol 6 pts.
Preston 6 pts.
Blackburn 6 pts.

And then there are teams who were a bit shaky going on a good run.... like Reading and Middlesbro.

Do good teams overeat at Christmas and the New Year? Bad teams are made to come in and work hard?

?

With so many games teams have to make changes... decent sides have to change winning sides through tiredness, suspensions and injury, which naturally disrupts play.

Struggling sides have the same issue, but often the changes allow them to stumble on a winning formula... you also find teams tend to change managers around December as it gives bosses chance to review squads ahead of January.

We’ve had a bad Xmas spell, but luckily so have plenty of other sides.
