Saw this story earlier today and just thought once again it is the BBC peddling an agenda set by a tiny minority- truth is I’m no more bothered by her sexual preferences than her choice of paint in her hall. It’s a non story, but yet barely a day passes when we don’t have a Beeb story about someone who has made a headline for not being heterosexual.

It's not just the Beeb doing this. Layla released the story to the media, the Beeb didn't sniff it out.

I work for an Australian company. They have a lot of rules about equality over there, mostly because they seem to need rules more than we do. Strange how often the weekly "Person of ------" on our intranet is female, gay, trans, disabled etc. Because I'll bet that 70% of the worldwide employees are white, heterosexual, able-bodied, middle-aged, middle-class men.

A particular favourite of mine was a couple of years ago when they published a picture of all the lady engineers in Saudi. My immediate thought was "Yeah, but who drove them to work?"

The Beeb love tales of such- whilst her sexuality wasn’t released by them, they deemed it worthy of one of their major headlines.

It's when people are attracted to aspects of a person that is to the exclusion of the persons sex and gender. The person's sex or gender will be incidental in forming romantic or sexual attraction. The aspect that attracts someone could be all manner of things from personality to a specific physical characteristic (again, not specific to sex or gender).

Lady Leshurr identifies as Pansexual and she'd get no argument from me.

Think we’re into semantics here. Ultimately it’s sexual attraction that’s not determined by any sexual or gender characteristics.
