C&A stores can still be found in France, at most major cities.

Reminds me of the Irish labourer, Paddy, who couldn't remember which feet to put his wellies on. His mate, Murphy, said why don't you label them "L" for left and "R" for right.

Paddy said that's a great idea. I know why missus buys her knickers from C&A now.  Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Great idea for a new post - your best traditional comedian or joke.

Frank Carson was so bad he was funny.
A man says to his mate: "My wife is a twin." His mate says, "How do you tell them apart?" The man says: "Her brother has a beard."

Kwik Save reminds me about the greatest bit of graffiti I ever saw. At the Netherton branch someone had sprayed under the KWIK SAVE sign.... "THE WHALES".   Big Grin

Yeah, Firkins. Started originally as a pork butchers in Carters Green. Had a large unit going towards Hill Top/Black Lake. Their pies and pasties looked fantastic when they arrived in shop. Unfortunately the shops then used to microwave them to heat them, resulting in a soggy mess. Another one no longer with us.
