The irony in that story is we turned down Wilson before Cov snapped him up. We gave him a trial and were looking at him and another forward, Kaydelene Brown I believe. Anyway although Wilson impressed we chose to go with Brown.
That's the story Stephen Hopcroft told a while back.
The one, of many probably, that got away. I still can't fathom why we didn't take a punt on him when Cov were desperate to sell. We knew the player and the money was right. Strange.
