Expect we'll see a fair few charges for him this season... definitely isn't a man to tow the line or cover his real feelings and opinions!

I see he has the ability to respond then.

I hope he calls out all the shit decisions made by the officials and backs it up with video evidence!

The ruling will mean that it doesn't matter whether the referee was shit or not.

Rule E3(1) is about using abusive/insulting words and/or behaviour towards another player/official and contrary to rule E3(1) a participant shall at all times act in the best interests of the game and shall not act in any manner which is imprpoer or brings the game into disrepute or use any one, or a combination of violent conduct, serious foul play, threatening, abusive, indecent or insulting words or behaviour.

The problem with all this is that FA don't have any common sense and it is just "a game" with rules attached and nobody should get so worked up about something that in the end could potentially lead to them losing their job. If you work for the FA, you can't be touched it seems but play their game and it's their rules.

Does anyone seriously expect the FA to turn around and say “well the referee was a bit shit so it’s ok for you to abuse him”?

What is it claimed that he said?  Did he just swear or did he swear at the ref because there is a big difference in the two.

He joined in our song asking the referee where his shirt was and questioning his impartiality
