Never been so disappointed in the character of a 'pop icon'  as I have with Morrissey.

Nevertheless, his best is up there with the best.

Yep, very saddening when your heroes let you down.

I stopped buying his stuff about 10 years ago (though I still listen to him and The Smiths). His utterances since have gone from the bewildering to the downright offensive. A great shame - he could have been a national bleedin' treasure.
