I’m guessing he would have been on around £60-70k at Prem level. Can’t see him being above £40k now we’ve dropped though.

I’m pretty sure Rondon and Evans were on £70k

I think that’s what we all thought, but there’s indications now that he’s on a lot more.

Indications from? No chance Rodriguez would be on £55k at Championship level

Couple of journo’s. Could be nonsense of course.

Which journo’s? Someone state his figure more recently?

Rodriguez is the highest earner left at the club now, Gibbs isn't far behind him!

Nixon, didn’t state a figure though. Read it elsewhere too, although probably regurgitated from what Nixon said. As I say, could be rubbish. My guess was similar to yours.

Yep. I know that we paid pretty well in the Premier League. When we signed Rodriguez from Southampton in Summer 2017. I think he would have been on £70,000. The drop down would have varies from player to player. If we do sell Rodriguez I wouldn’t feel confident for the club to replace 45 goals.

On age, length of contract remaining and resale value, you may have to recycle the cash.

He is worth a lot less this time next year.

This is true. I think it will be wages as well. I have my suspicions* that even on flex-down, he's on 50k a week. Will a lower end PL club pay that?

*Evans was offered 108k a week to make him the club's highest paid player. So presumably J-Rod is in the neighbourhood of 50% of that. Plus to quote Alan Nixon "Big Jay Rod is on huge money".

There's a lot of talk of "gentlemen's agreements, but in truth a lot of our ex-PL players are on wages they would not get else where.

People asking how much he's on, those are my calculations. I reckon he's on around 50k.

Heard he's on more than the Rotherham squad combined.
