So you don’t think a three times promoted from the Championship manager is a credible and sensible appointment?

Then the same argument was a regular on here for appointing Pardew.
Sometimes you have to go for "promising" over"experienced".
Some of us wanted Smith when he was with Brentford. He "hadn't achieved anything".
But there are plenty of examples of managers who stepped up the leagues to achieve great success.
I just hope that the appointment process is intelligent.
But I have my doubts..
