Competition for Newcastle would be good for us as it should mean we get more than the £16.5m (?) in the release clause.

No, the price is a fixed £16.5m even if 10 teams want him.

Agree, with previous post it will just increase his agents hand in negotiations with regards to his new contract.

At least he will be able to return ‘home’ to Sutton Coldfield. Now there’s a thought............
