I believe 45/46 is the average. Although we should aim for 50.  In theory we could probably draw every game and survive

Wednesday being the whipping boys for the entire league (apart from fucking us) ought to push the required total up a bit from the usual high 40s. I’d say 52 will just about do it, without being comfortable at any stage.

48 points... the year only 2 went down too... so 50 would have only saved us on GD... saddest of times, let's hope to never be repeated!

It'll be higher this year given there's no one running away at the top and hoovering up all the points and because Sheffield Wednesday give three to everyone who plays them, accept us. Genuinely, the difference between Championship and League One next season could be whether we take the alloted three points off them on the last day. At the moment everyone else is, that 0-0 in November is a stinking result.
