Was worried we would get thumped but came away thinking we might have won. Just shows how a bit of commitment and organisation gets you so far in this mediocre league  marks

MO. 6.5 uncertain save and some indecision first half - but handling was ok

Gilchrist 6.5. Poor on the ball and some hesitation but solid enough against their best player

Styles 7.5. Energy and willing to attack. Got done by Manhoef but kept the CP loanee quiet

CP 7. Much better in the tackle and solid in the 4. One excellent through ball

Phillips. 7.5. Committed and strong - found some good passes today. Stoke light up front which helped

Molomby 8. Thought he was very good and strong in midfielder. Won a lot and decent passing. Used his  strength really well

Mowatt 7. Blunted by an early ish booking and poor shot when well placed. Passed it well enough though. We miss him when he doesn’t play

Jed 6.5. Played well first half and some good touches. One good effort and one shanked shot Bit unlucky
  to get hooked so early.

Jamoh 6.5 great shot first half and one good run. We didn’t do enough to supply him. Subbed too early

Price 7 plenty of energy but decent on the ball too and some end product. Did well off the left

Dike 6 understandably rusty but he didn’t hold it at all well enough. Has to win more headers too

Heggebo 6 a lot of effort but no decisive touches. Really needs service. Our supply is so poor though

Maja 6.5. Some running and good touches today. Pace of a bloody snail though - should have got to the 1/2 with MJ

MJ 5. Some abysmal decisions in the final third. Mitigation with the injury but why he didn’t fuggin shoot when so close who knows.

Danny 7. Overlaps and some decent moves in last third. Won us 2 of our few corners

Tubby 6. Not on long - did ok on the ball

That has to be our midfield two. Anyone else in there and they're either anonymous or Diakite, who is unbelievably one dimensional

More of the same and we’ll be ok. How different from last Saturday!

MOL - 6 - couple of routine contributions. Some decent kicking.

Gilchrist - 7 - 8 defensively, 5 in possession. But edges and extra mark for the number of tackles and headers he won in the midfield third.
Phillips - 8 - Much better. A couple of 50p boot moments, but looked like he looked at the start of the season defensively.
Mepham - 6 - Thought he still looked shaky and weak. Then got injured. Be better when Campbell and/Bielik are back.
Styles - 8 - Solid. Really tried to get us playing too. Wish he had a bit more pace, but then he probably wouldn't play for us.

Wallace - 7 - Massive shift and made some great runs diagonally behind their backline.
Molumby - 7 - Grafted his tits off, constantly in the middle of the action. Let down by his usual lack of ability when it's most needed. Showing more discipline off the ball these days it must be said.
Mowatt - 7 - So good to have him back, the only one who can control the tempo and get us moving. Which showed with the number of accurate balls we played into the final third. Still understandably looks rusty though. Will be massive now till the end of the year.
Jimoh - 6 - Looked rusty/unfit/lazy delete as appropriate or accurate. But has ability. Doesn't have much pace on the face of it. Need to see how he settles in and it's far too early to judge.

Price - 8 - Superhuman shift. Played in 3 positions and never stopped trying to play the hurtful passes.

Dike - 6 - Tried hard, rusty. Needs to stay fit and try and find some of that devastating physicality he has.

Subs:

Hegg/Maja/MJ - 6 - no impact, all didn't really get into it aside from the first 5 after the break.
Imray - 7 - If it's going to be a back 4 and M&M, he has to play.
Taylor - Not on long enough.

Ramsay - 7 - Got it wrong from the start, made the right subs but we didn't have any momentum. But the draw is better than the Pompey shambles.

Got it wrong from the start? FFS. Literally the first thing he’s got right since he arrived at the club was his team, set up and tactics from the start today.

I swear you’re having a loff.

Yep. Sorry Lurker, Ramsay actually gets credit for today's set up. It was bang on. Also, there seems to me to be 2 schools of thought about Jimoh. Those that were there and saw promise and swift feet, often cut down before he had chance to impress. And those watching on a stream that didn'trate him. Very early days but Jimoh looks to me exactly what we need to turn midfield into a goal threat. In fact I'd argue our game regressed when he got hooked. Stoke's Premier League loan signing meanwhile, Rake Saki, looked proper average Championship fodder.

He looked a bit lost at times and not sure of his position, but definitely good on the ball and bags of potential. Could be important as he finds his feet in this league.

Tom Joad is right, Jimoh had people standing up to clap him off at the Hawthorns.

Agree, Jimbo has potential. Was the last off the pitch clapping the crowd.
