Molumby really put a shift in. Wallace tried hard without achieving much. Phillips and Mepham were both an improvement on their more recent performances.

I'm a little surprised that the OP mentioned Gilchrist. Personally I thought he was appalling, barely looks like a footballer.

Molumby edges it for me also. Worked his bollocks off all game, and tracked back better than any of the others in the middle.

Styles would have been up there for the award, but for getting turned inside out at one point in the second (from which they maybe should have done better). Apart from that, though, he was decent.

I know you’ll never be chairman of the Molumby fan club (nor will I) but today was a gritty, ugly game suited to the performance he put in. Superb passing was hardly the theme of the day.

In fairness I think it was one of those games where there was so little quality that just general hard work and grafting made him stand out against others.
