Back 4
#1
I know Ramsay and others have suggested that the current formation is not the issue, but with the signings of JJA and Muatapha (as well as SIJ departing) I wonder if there has been a change of heart as these 2 are surely more suited to a 4231 or something.

Very interesting to see how he sets them up at the weekend.

This might be the best back 4 given the donkeys that we have.

Cuzer, Derek, CIM, TomJoad

Sadly the only thing we've learned about Ramsay is that he's very confident in his own big idea. I can't see him changing his setup, no matter how often the donkeys at the back let him down. Hope I'm wrong - or of course that it all just gels and the players stop looking like they've never met.

Those two players seem well suited to playing in the 2 behind the striker in Ramsey's system.

They do but we have to get over the halfway line to reach them. We also need to pass to them and not lump the ball 60ft up in the air to the centre forward. Both new guys are technically very good so we need ball to feet at the very minimum....

They’ve got to get on the pitch first.

If he wants give give his career every chance of success he will move to a back four. If he is happy to fail, stick with the 5. Its up to him - his career is on the line.
