Was that our biggest ever home defeat in the second tier?
We lost by a 4 goal margin to Crewe in 1999 (5-1). Can't recall a 5 goal margin at this level though

I honestly can't think of one in my time. Toon beat us 1-5 in 1989. Remember the Swindon 2-5. Plymouth and Crewe but I don't remember a 5 goal margin in the championship.
