Grim. This thug played most of his footy in the Midlands non league scene. Arrested on suspicion of assault.

What an absolute utter wanker, banned for life and a prison sentence for that assault.
That’s not in the laws of football.

That’s awful. One can only hope that his elbows are as flabby as he is.

Blokes like that are the reason I stopped playing football as soon as I left school. Some glorify in off the ball fouls, goading of opponents as part of the game.
I’d rather play squash for exercise than risk losing my teeth or breaking my nose with thugs like this.

Absolutely no need for that, and it's always really shit players that feel the need to resort to it too.

Cowardly attack. Should face criminal charges. A premeditated free hit to the face. What a complete moron. This guy has evidently been paid to play football for much of his life yet resorts to this against a fellow player. Lock him up.

I used to watch Barrow when I lived in Cumbria. One of their centre halves chose an FA cup tie to do similar, the one game a season TV recordings were made. Not many saw it when it happened, makes you wonder how many get away with it. He didn't.

Game’s gone soft!!!

If he did that in the street it would be assault, he needs teaching a very strong lesson.

Nothing to do with football. Cowardly and pre-meditated assault. Deserves jail time and a life ban.

Surprised there wasn't a full on punch up tbh after that.

What a spineless prick to do that and take a free hit in the name of football. Needs banning for life, not big, not clever. Ideally a few weeks in a cell with a proper nutcase.
