Expectations

Looks like Eric is imminent, so, what are our expectations?

For me, if we finish above 18th, Bostock and Whitwell get decent minutes, Dike becomes a genuine option, SIJ  gets sent back and we bring in a decent replacement that will do me.

I’d like Eric to give the squad some identity and confidence and see evidence of a plan.

And win the cup.

First few days/weeks get an idea of the squad and add a couple of key players in Jan if possible.

Then pull away from the bottom half of the table as quickly as possible to allow him time to fully assess the squad and start getting some of his ideas across to the slower ones in the team. Then hopefully be quick and efficient in the summer window to allow him as much time and space to prepare the squad for the new season.

If we can have a cup run in the middle then I’m up for that as well.

Finish mid-table, with a clear identity emerging, substitutions that don't make us worse, decent minutes given to some of the best youngsters, Wildshit doesn't play.

Get the most out of the squad he has. Realistically this is anywhere between 6th and 12th.

Improve players within the squad especially those with high potential or who would be earmarked for future sale. Price, Johnston, Heggebø.

Get some minutes for the likes of Whitwell and Bostock between now and the end of the season.

M'eh. My expectations are very low, especially after today.

He has a poor squad that doesn't fit what he's been playing in the MLS, so will he adapt? can he adapt?

He gets my support, but I'll reserve judgement, but I'm not confident at all.

Hopefully he can get us to around 12th or somewhere equally pointless, but well out of the relegation fight (because if we don't move up this team has no fight and will go down).

I think we're in for a tough few weeks, hopefully there'll be no thrashings and the defeats will be close run, but I'd be amazed (and very happy) if he can win within the next 4 games.

If we can't even win one of our next four we're fucked.
