Does anyone else refer to Brum as Brummagem?

My nan always used to, and I've never heard anyone else do so, until I've just heard a gentleman say it in the pub.

Yep. Or at least I used to when I was a kid as my dad and his side of the family (Smethwick) always referred to it as thus.

And as 'Town', despite it being a city.

As a Smethwicker myself, I concur.

Funnily enough used it the other day when explaining to someone the meaning of counterfeit. But do occasionally used it in reference to Brum.

My Grandad would call it Brummagem. He was Black Country as you can be.
