Sad news. One of few players to go toe to toe with Souness
Manager of Bradford the night of our 5-3 win

A real full back.
Explains why Gabby had to leave MOTD urgently. RiP TY a legend in your day.

Yep, a proper tough guy and character from back in the day when players stayed around clubs, were all from the British isles, and we all knew them.
Think the Bradford fire really traumatised him.

RIP Terry Yorath great footballer and a good man.
Made me think he was one of a number of players from back in the day, even though they weren’t Albion, you still admired not just because of their football ability but because of their commitment and character. Martin Chivers was another one, Colin Bell, Peter Osgood, Cyril Knowles, Peter Lorimer, Denis Law the list is endless. I liked all of these guys. I’m sure other supporters would have felt the same about Bomber and the King. Can’t think of anyone I feel like that about now, maybe just got my misty eyed rose tinted specs on. Anyway rest in peace Terry

Haaland, Salah, De Bruyne,Maguire I suppose. But I hardly know the top players now. They appear from nowhere and often move on as quickly. And we don't play against them! |
