Apparently according to the treasury if you earn more than £45,000 you are not working people. You guys on more than that need to get off your arses and get out to work

Apparently being the operative word there. Sky contradict themselves in the same article by saying "Officials have been tasked with protecting the income of the lower two-thirds of working people, meaning in theory people earning more than around £46,000 could face a squeeze in the budget."

I suspect it's just another mealy mouthed attempt to justify breaking their manifesto commitment as they promised not to increase income tax rates or NI on working people, so simply redefine working people. However Reeves also promised not to come back for any more tax rises o whichever way you want to play it they will have been lying

In that case a seamless transition from the previous 14 years.

Indeed, so much for the promise to be different then

Or it's bad reporting of a non-story

All working people are equal but some working people are LESS equal than others...
Sure I read something like that somewhere? How have Labour compartmentalised an entire nation and pissed off virtually every section?

Well, we already know that the chancellor has confirmed she is breaking her pledge to MPs so that's one down. We will have to wait for any more broken promises

There are a lot of people that think raising taxes is a good idea (as long as it’s someone else that gets taxed). ‘Tax the rich’ - no real way of doing that and they won’t acknowledge that they have done that already by adding pensions into IHT and bringing farmers into line (sort of but no quite) with IHT.
I said it before the election - I’d be happy to pay more on IT and if it’s needed then so be it. Problem I have is with the unreal increase in benefits over the past few years, that doesn’t make any sense to me but I’m reliably informed that there is no fraud so it must be right.

You offer fuck all in evidence to the contrary apart from some anecdotal eavesdropping at the doctors. Let’s pick on the disabled… they are the problem. |
