I said they should have gone for Burnham after Corbyn. Nothing political as the masses don't really give a shit about policy. Purely because he wasn't from London and had a regional accent, therefore appealing to the "not the Islington elite" gang.

I suspect the novelty of him being a professional northerner won't last very long when it collides with the reality of government.
He's also hopelessly naive in that interview when he says Labour needs to "get beyond this thing of being in hock to the bond markets". Good luck with that, Dear.

Burnham's biggest impediment to becoming the leader of Labour is that he needs to be a MP and i don't think there is a constituency that they can currently win in a by election.
I'd like to know why political sages on here believe Streeting can't be leader, because whatever it is Streeting appears to be unaware of it, given he is continually on manoeuvres.
