Puzzling, maybe. But I think it's a good indication of the type of manager Mason is. He's not stuck to a specific line up or style, he'll change as appropriate. 

He'd have (I'm hoping!) done a lot of studying on Boro, he seems the meticulous sort, and this is the plan he's come up with for this specific game. 

I'm intrigued to see how we set up and play.
