Why 2 Goalkeepers on bench?

No idea, but it doesn't really matter. You can name 9 substitutes but only use 5. A lot is being made of it, but unnecessarily so. It's probably good experience for the lad to be in and around the match day squad.

If it was the old rules of only 5 subs where you could use 3, and the extra GK was taking the spot of an outfield player, then I'd be baffled and ask questions, but the extra GK isn't taking the spot of anyone, and it's not really impacting anything, so I don't really care about it!

Hopefully when we get one of the injured players back fit he won't be included any more.

The lad is highly rated. Maybe there's a feeling he can step up to be No 2 and push Wildsmith off the bench?

Perhaps it's good to have three keepers doing the warm-up, give the young player some experience and because he's named in the match squad, he probably gets a nice little earner out of it. It might also mean he signs a longer term contract with us if we rate him so we can sell him for a PSR profit.
