Was tempted to call it “right wing” but didn’t want to cause more arguments.
Furlong - Fellows to Campbell - Wallace/SIJ felt like a massive step down. Campbell looked like a Pulis era CB playing RB because that’s precisely what he was. Wallace offered nothing and SIJ needs to remember he has a right foot.
Needs a rethink because we offered absolutely nothing down that side all day.

That is pretty much how we assessed it on the drive home. Jed has done OK before today, but just that - today he didn’t offer anywhere near what Fellows did even on an off day.
It feels like a bolt-on replacement. Where is Grant BTW?

I'm not going to write Campbell off after two matches. He was arguably man of the match v Stoke, too!

I'd agree, right side is a bit of a weakness, Wallace is back to main starter which is a definite step down, Campbell is very defensive too which means we offer less than we need to that side.

Maybe we can try left footed SIJ on the left.
And right footed MJ on the right.
Radical I know.

I always find it pretty pathetic that a professional footballer can't use their weaker foot. How do you get to that level without being able to use either foot comfortably? That's a general musing, btw, and not a specific criticism of SIJ - who looked handy when he came on, tbf.
