I recall the Tipton Tatter bagged against Derby but it wasn’t that match. Genuinely can’t recall who scored in the 2-0 so I’ll wait for mickeypearce to appear like the Genie of The Lamp with the facts (09-10-2025, 05:10 PM)CarlosCorbewrong Wrote: Was the Giles Barnes/Diamond game vs Derby? <shudder>

3-2 win in the final game of the 95-96 season under Buckley. Derby finished 2nd that season. Albion 11th. 24k there that day (3k more than we got at home against the Dings)

They rested a few after getting promoted a week or so before Ashley Ward lives close and he reckons his late equaliser that day was his first Derby goal (after missing countless sitters). Luckily we went to the other end and bagged in the 90th min 3 future Baggies in the Derby side (09-10-2025, 05:18 PM)CIM Wrote:(09-10-2025, 05:09 PM)MancBaggie Wrote:(09-10-2025, 04:50 PM)tHEgLASSdOORS Wrote: Zenith Data Systems Cup 0-5 at home. That was a treat. Very good. That 10,000 odd was our 4th highest league crowd that season. Name the 3 games that exceeded it

Remember that 3-2 game well. Sat in the Rainbow with my old man, me raging when they equalised late and a moment later celebrating our winner. A load of our lot invaded the pitch to taunt Derby fans but got roundly booed by the rest of the ground.
