MJ is the most creative player we have. And we don't create enough chances. He has to play. 

I am less than enthused by that line up it must be said. I was hoping for something a bit fresher from Mason. 

Fingers crossed the patterns of play and approach to the game makes up for it.

That's the team I'd have picked but unfortunately it's pretty much the same team as last season...where we finished 9th or whatever it was.

Too many glaring holes to fix this summer and Heggem's departure will only add to that.

Top 6 would be a 9/10 job for Mason. Top 2 10/10.

Great to see Maja on the bench. The last two managers saw him as a number ten, but neither had the chance. Maybe mason will get that chance.

It’s a pity Mason hasn’t had time to watch any of the last 3 seasons’ footage that demonstrate how poorly Mowatt and Molumby play together.

Would have played MJ and Diakite, but can’t really argue with the selection, it’s be interesting to see how we play.

Absolutely and how little craft and guile we have with Fellows and Grant as the wide men. 

Fingers crossed he's got a plan to get Mowatt further up the pitch and get more output from Styles and Furlong to compensate for the defensive nature of the team.
