Hilarious. If they were horses, they’d have been put down.

honestly , Dike is a disaster, i cannot think of a more painful signing

Grieves me to say it but Dike is becoming something of a wasted squad place. We’re going into a new season with a half-fit Maja and an untried Heggebo as our forward line choices, Dike is an option now in name only.

Think I'm at the cut our losses stage now with him. Very sad, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. And doesn't Bany have a bit of a sicknote history too?

The consistent muscular niggles worry me more than the three potential career ending freak injuries he's had since he's been with us. A real shame for him as he's a good player.
Bany a strange one as I don't think he's been fit since he turned up in January.

I think even Anichebe was less injury prone than Dike

I had a vague hope Dike would last long enough for Big Val to take him to Blackburn, but there we are. Can't see him ever playing three games in a row for us now.
As for Bany, hopefully he will toughen up, but if not he is still the only person who has managed to get Swift to run half the length of the pitch, so that is something. Think I need a pint.
It's all well and good saying 'cut our losses', but how? No team will take a gamble on him for a fee, surely?
We're stuck with him until his contract runs down, I'd have thought. It's just one of those frustrating things. He's not getting injured on purpose, but his body is failing him. It's actually sad to see. These constant injuries can't be good for his body long term, at what point does he have a serious think about retirement? Is that an option, for him? I don't know how serious getting these kinds of injuries can be. I just hope the guy is looked after mentally, it's such a shit situation to be in, regardless of your wage. |
