Fair play to them. The day they won the play offs i thought they could break Derbys points record. They are right going for it.

Chaka could prove to be signing of the season given how young their squad is.

Clearly rushed & meant Sunderland.

They’ve got owners that have followed a comparable path to the one we are undertaking but are further down the track. Needed a slice of luck for it to arrive as soon as it did.

Signing a 32 year old for around 15M on a 3 year deal with no doubt 100k+ wages is crazy, but with such a young squad, his experience and leadership will be huge.

Have to say I've been really impressed with their business, they're finding some very good players at good ages.

Such is the state of the Premier League despite a more than decent window they are still nailed on to go down and probably with Burnley and Leeds.

13 mill plus the wages, which wont be cheap, for a 32 yr old?

Nah!

I think the odds are still against them, but the bottom end of the PL looks weak again this year. I think Wolves, Bournemouth, Brentford could be pulled into the mix.

Burnley haven’t done much business and Parker is out of his depth in the PL, and Leeds, for all their fanfare haven’t really strengthened. Sunderland have done the best work IMO and look to have the best chance of snatching 17th.
