Hopefully for a big fat Saudi fee.

If we get a few million for him. That would be a brilliant Brucey.

A player who can play a role for 15/20 mins to help see a game out. But his awareness and ability on the ball would take more than his last year in his contract with us to get right.

If he goes we'll definitely need to bring in a couple of midfielders

He is by no means irreplaceable and a couple of million at least would be a nice little FFP boost for a player we signed for free.

It’s inevitable that players will go, but he’ll need replacing. We’re already weak in CM and this just leaves the dream team of Mowatt and Molumby who’ve had 3 years of not being good enough as a pair.

This might force Price to be played in CM!

If true, this would be an excellent piece of business. I like what I've seen of him so far but he didn't have a great deal of involvement in our campaign and a £3m profit on a player with a year left on his contract who has previously had a bad injury would be a decent sale.

This is exactly the sort of transfer dealings we should be looking to move the club forward - bringing players in cheaply and then making a profit when we get the opportunity. We've been so poor at it for at least 10 years or so but the new ownership regime seem to have a bit more of an idea of what we need rather than just chucking contracts at various late 20s/early 30s has-beens who are on a downward trajectory in their career.

To be fair, the rumour originally came from an African football site called 'Africa Foot':

This is my concern. Mowatt and Molumby have proven time and time again that they're completely ineffective as a duo.

Diakite, despite his shortcomings, offered an alternative.

Disappointing as I believe there is the potential to be a very good player. However, upwards of £3m would soften the blow, and I hope we insert a sell on clause.
Whether it is financially feasible, Josh Brownhill is available on a free, though he would not be a direct replacement.
