Heartwarming Fred (I think)

I work from home, as I have done since lockdown. Recently my mom has had the pleasure of looking after my nephew while as his mom has gone back to work.

So I spend two days a week working around moms while my nephew is around, and it's an absolute delight watching him grow up and spending time with him. I wouldn't change this time at all, I feel so lucky and it's something that makes me so happy.

It almost makes up for the fact I missed out on my niece growing up at that age due to lockdown. And I'm aware people lost family members during that time, and I was fortunate enough to not lose anyone, but spending the best part of two years not being able to spend time with my niece was horrible.

Anyway, working from home is ace. And nothing puts a smile on your face like a 2 year old that clearly loves you and is excited to see you.

I know it's generic, but it's small life things like this that makes me realise football really doesn't matter. This is what life is about. Not whether Albion win or not.

Good post!

I felt the same coming out of lockdown. I know a lot of people who lost family and friends or came out of lockdown worse than when they went in.

I was one of the lucky ones who had the opportunity to watch a lot of firsts with my daughter which I would have otherwise missed pre covid.

Since then I’ve worked from home and been able to do things with my daughter after school I don’t think I would have if I was working from the office.

I (like you) feel very lucky and the last few years has shown me that there are many things more important than football Smile
