Bartley

A lot is made of our striker situation but when you see defensive performances and results like that today you realise just how important he is.

Often maligned by our fans but he's our best defender by miles and we can't get him back in the team soon enough.

It's been a month since CC left and we've not kept a clean sheet since...

He'll be back in next Saturday.

Amongst the numerous (shit) subs five at the back with Bartley could have seen us pocket three points ffs.

I can’t imagine how much pointing he would’ve done today after each goal.

That would’ve been the only tangible difference. Styles was the culprit for both goals, although Bartley wouldn’t have been worse than Heggem was today.

He'd have cleared his lines for the first unlike Holgate. We're far more organised with him on the pitch. Alarming you can't see that.

I tried not to put this in case I am accused of having a hatred of Holgate...

Heggem will be much better along side Bart's.

It's simply not unfair to call out that Holgate is terrible. First goal lies with him today for me. Shouldn't have even got as far as Styles. It's no surprise Heggem all of a sudden looks a League 1 player.

Got to play next match with Heggem moving back to where he's played his best football.
Diakite and Price for me as well with Mowatt or Styles
Swift is just uninterested most of the time, Grady a big big disappointment.
No idea what's best up front maybe the new loan will help there.

Plymouth I thought defended well with a new defensive line up, but the penalty change the game, and our players predictably reacted badly to it in terms of required effort
Onwards and upwards eh?

The longer he’s out the better he gets, hopefully it’ll be a few more weeks so we can have Cannavaro 2 in defence, before everyone sees him play and realises he’s just Kyle Bartley.

Cannavaro he isn't. Our captain, organiser and best defender he is.
