Just read on BBC and a few standouts:
We are looking at striker options and, whilst he likes technical footballers, he realises sometimes you need a 6'2 target man. Seems hopeful we will do something.
He doesn't have much say in signings, that's up to Pearce and Nestor, but he's ok with that. Says he once had 3 new players turn up at Sun'land and he didn't even know who they were or where they played!
Dike reckons he could be back for Sheff Wed but Mogga thinks this is almost certainly too early.
No mention of outgoings.
All positives I would say. Imagine having a new striker AND Dike AND Maja going into the business end of the season.

not sure I like the manager having little / no say in signings, especially with Nestor's very hit n miss record.

The fact that Mowbray has been there before and he's not that bothered is a positive though.

Yep, I guess.

I think that's harsh. Have you done the research to back that up? How well do others clubs manage their transfer business? Surely it's not unusual to catch a few duds when you're fishing in the bargain bucket and especially with loans of young players with "potential"?

Mogga also said last week that he spent an evening watching videos of potential targets with Ian Pearce. I think Shilen and Andrew Nestor are mindful of allowing head coaches to be able to have a say when it comes to signings.

Feels harsh too.
We have picked up 3 players for virtually nothing that will potentially turn substantial profit going forward in Heggem, Styles and Diakite. Johnston, after a slow start now looks a good addition, Holgate is a regular and most people are really excited by Price. Wildsmith was brought in to keep Palmer on his toes which he has done.
Racic is a strange one, I think there's a player there but just not happened.
The duds are Frabotta, Dobbin and Cole.
Overall, I make that a 50% plus success rate. We've not had that since Meggos dad's cortina was flying around the motorways.

To be honest, even with money having a few duds is not uncommon.
No one knew about Heggem and Diakite and both look decent signings, Callum Styles has exceeded all expectations from League One, Mikey Johnston is starting to prove worth the outlay. While there's mixed opinions on Holgate, he's been capable enough to keep us as one of the best defences in the league, and along with McNair it has meant that there's not a big gaping injury shaped hole in our central defence.
The only players who have been underwhelming are Racic, who's not been as bad as people say and he's on loan anyway, Frabotta who might be good but we've not needed him, and Devante Cole who was only ever meant to be a cheap backup anyway.
To me that looks like a pretty good job, and if there are any 'duds', its better that they are loan players than permanent signings.

The ones that have were also cheap-ish but will have a very good sell on price. I'm pleased with our business this season so far.
