100+ passes?

We must have kept the ball for 5 minutes without fail.

IIRC the crowd were cheering each pass of the ball and then we scored. Was lovely.

Love the fact that it ended with a long ball.

37 passes and it ends up at Palmers feet twice. The first 20 or so we didn’t get any where, Then a hoof to Diangana.  Big Grin

A really well worked and great team goal, and it shows the confidence in the team at that point of the game.

But I wouldn't call that exciting or good football to watch, personally. Although, I do appreciate its qualities.

People have rightly bemoaned the atmosphere, but is it any wonder people don't get excited when you spend two minutes watching a phase of play where the ball barely travels 10 yards forward and there's a lot of low tempo sideways and backwards passing? I just don't think this style of football is good for producing exciting football that gets people off their seats.

And no, I'm not advocating Pulis aimless long ball tactics.
