Frustrating draw when we did enough to win but those other results sweeten the pill. Had enough chances to win but a lack of quality in the last third really undermines us. Marks
AP. 6.5. Did ok with a few crosses but a lot of tentative distribution and poor kicking.
DF. 6.5. Started slowly and gave Koumas way too much room but improved. More aggressive 2nd half
Styles 7.5. Full of energy and popped up in all positions. Took a booking for the team - just needs to improve end product
Heggem 6. Missed a sitter and some big errors today. Steadied a little 2nd half.
Holgate 5.5. Won some tackles but got away with huge errors in possession. Big weak link
Mowatt 6.5. Carrying an injury and well off his best/ poor volley. Kept going though
JM 6.5. Good energy and won battles/ tried to drive us. Missed 2 colossal chances
MJ 6. Not enough today and poor touches/ shots. Still he persevered and put in plenty of crosses
TF 6.5. In and out the game and missed a great chance. Still a good outlet until he visibly tired late on
Grady 7. Some bad passes but gave us something on the ball and great tuck for goal. Tried to find pockets
Grant 7. Excellent effort - and won a lot of lost causes. Bad decisions at times and didn’t hit the target enough.
Jed 6 No issue with effort - just needs to find some quality. Bizarre how he’s just gone
Cole 6. Not on long but put himself about

Fair Manc those
I’d give Fellows a 7 thought he was a constant menace to them but does tire every week
Holgate more a 5, in a real bad trot of form at the minute, thought Furlong had one of his one in six or seven games when he’s miles off it, another 5 for me
Rest were 6/7 all over the pitch
Wallace substitution was mind boggling, glad we’ve got a gaffer back on the dugout as the subs last few games have been very poor, certainly cost us 2 points at Swansea and all wrong again today

Harsh on Johnston. Never stopped trying to make something happen and fully deserved his assist.

Surprised it wasn’t Swift for Grady today. Especially given the momentum we had
Thought Mowatt would get hooked after his booking. Clearly carrying a knock and just not sharp enough in his passing

You were quadruply surprised
Fans have a tendency to both overrate and underrate their own players. I’ve seen Heggem called a Premier League standard player, but it’s clear the only one in our team who may have a chance of being a current PL starter is Palmer, and even that’s a stretch. Heggem is definitely not a PL quality player, and neither is Fellows yet but I’d fancy him to get there.
Personally i thought furlong stood out as the worst player on the pitch (of the starters)

Palmtree - a bystander for much of it. We didn’t start deep so at times it looked like he was learning to kick all over again; but that’s never been his forte. Scrapes a 7.
Footlong - tough afternoon against a pacy Koumas. Looked troubled early doors and was conceding far too much room but tightened up. Also scrapes a 7.
Colgate - toothache. On another day against a better side would have been punished… got away with it today. 5.5.
Hedgehog - not brilliant, not shite, just the steady we’ve come to know. 7
Stylecard - looks gradually better and better with every game under his belt. Probably our best today. 7.5
Fellopian - I didn’t think he was at his best today. Too many floated crosses to no one when he did get the better of his man. Needed to play more balls across hard and low today. 6
Mowatt - not his best either. 6.5.
Molumbaway Molumbaway Molumbaway Molumbaway in the jungle etc. - if this guy could finish he probably wouldn’t be here. Sitters missed, but an otherwise industrious display that at least saw him earning the right to miss them with his work rate, which you know you’ll always get from him. A goal today and he gets an eight, but sorry, Jayson, it’s a 7.
Mikey’s Johnson - huffed, puffed and deserved the assist. It always felt as if it would be his flank we made the breakthrough. He worked hard today and deserves a 7.5.
Diangonorrhea - so frustrating. We know there’s a player in there but we have simply never seen enough of it since 2020. Today typifies his career here - wonderfully taken goal, but what else? Maybe Mowbray can finally coax the consistency he so badly lacks out of him… 6.5 today.
Karlan Grunt - just not his day but not his fault. Can’t blame him as he must have felt like he’d gone back in time today. Give him one of the chances missed today and it’s a different score. 6.5.
Subs - I’m bored and want to eat toffee. They can both have a 5.

Christ on a bike!
You can’t slate Palmer and Holgate, and giving Cole a 6 with only 3mins on the pitch!

I said exactly the same to my Dad about Swift coming on though didn't repeat it so many times. It's a fair point though and worth emphasising!
