The only manager to manage us more than once at Wembley since ..... well you know.
Came within a whisker of emulating one of our clubs historic achievements of being the only club to achieve the cup and promotion double.
Not a bad record.

To be fair we were cheated out of a final in the FA Cup that year. I’m still quite bitter about it.

But TM gave me that memory and it’s one that’ll stick with me and what football is all about.

100% delibrate handball. Also they were clearly being bankrolled illegally which eventually saw them relegated two divisions. We were unfortunate to draw them as the other semi were two other championship sides in Barnsley and Cardiff who we would have battered but we have Nobsor to blame for drawing us out of the hat!

That said, and I was at the game, I thought we were second best in that semi. Didn't really lay a glove on them tbf. Still could have got to a peno shoot out though.
