No, they keep it quiet until it’s done. 

So many times this happens in football, but it’s not played out in the media.  I bet my last £ that the club were gutted Perce got hold of the winky potential appointment and then todays news. 

Hughton was done. It broke in the B’ham Mail the night before we met Roy in a hotel the following morning.  Hughton was left hanging. 

Rangnick was pretty much done, until Clarke blew everyone away in his interview. I believe Rangnick similar, however he potentially was doing the same to WBA.

We’ll appoint someone and the truth will come out about Winky in the months or years to come.
It always does.  

When we do appoint, it will always be “our preferred candidate”.

I don't get worked up when we have to search for a new manager as if they do well they will be off to better things in a couple of years ,or if they fail they will probably be sacked ,and will be discussing the same thing again .
