He can keep teams up. What is his promotion record like?

Doubtful he would come but even if he was interested would he really fit into the type of head coach structure Nestor and co. seem to want?

And I presume there would be compensation involved to him or Everton

If he doesn’t they won’t offer him the job. They have to sell the role, he has to sell his vision, therefore, if he gets it they both agree he is the best fit.
I asked the other day if Dyche had thrown a spanner in the works and delayed Wicky being announced. Could still be true with today’s statement just a diplomatic way of saying they’d had a change of heart without damaging anyone’s reputation.

Dunno, could well do though. He did seem drained from the Everton experience so probably wants a break from it all anyway.

Was Fischer ruled out or could we go in for him again?

He's won promotion with Burnley in his last 2 seasons in the Champ.

I wouldn't be against Dyche, I think he'd be a sensible fit for what our short term ambitions are, but I'm not sure he would work well within the system Nestor and co are believed to want to create.

That being said, I'd much rather we were building that system as a PL club, not a Championship one!
