Twist this a little:
If Rodriguez was and Bong white and then Bong accused Rodriguez of saying "you're white and you smell" would someone, somewhere still be trying to create some tenuous link to the chant being in any way racist? Therefore the chant had nothing to do with his colour, but everything to do with an at best unproven accusation, but more likely a false malicious lie.
