Captain Jed

Seems a logical choice, especially after him going on the record to say what we were all thinking after That Woeful Weekend:

I think giving the captaincy to Jed makes a lot of sense. His commitment is unquestionable and his play can also be inspirational to others.

Hopefully having this role will galvanise him rather than burden him.

One bug bear of mine is having a captain that isn’t either centre of defence or centre of midfield. Having a winger as captain means that the opposite full back has very little interaction and if the captain is caught out up field then there is no-one balling out the defenders and organising them by telling them where to cover.

We put too much emphasis in this country on the captain… it really doesn’t matter what position they play. What we need is someone who sets an example, who can grab the game by the scruff of the neck when we’re floundering, and someone who can be relied on to do something to snatch a tight game.

Today was another one of those games that we’ve seen all too many of, games where you just know we will make an error that’ll gift the opposition a goal, and despite some huff and puff we won’t get an equaliser. We could still be playing now and it would be 2-1.

We have absolutely lacked character for about 3 seasons now… I couldn’t care less whether that leader is a CB or a Striker, but the biggest priority this summer was a fuxking leader to set an example to this rudderless and spineless bunch

Spot this bunch are clueless and spinless and have been for quite awhile it needs a complete clear out but until we get new owners it wont happen.

Was sent out to do the post match rounds instead of one of the management team after Carlos was sent off, really strange. Unless they can't speak English?
